We were sent this video of a magnificent Humpback whale breaching the surface of the Bay of Fundy last Friday. Sandy Seliga was vacationing from Toronto and had whale watching on her bucket list — we’d say she can safely check that item off after a sighting like this!! Whales are a majestic part of the Bay of Fundy ecosystem. But these brilliant creatures are under stress from tanker traffic in the bay, which is poised to get a lot busier and riskier for whales with TransCanada’s proposed Energy East Pipeline. Here's a 3:30pm show during the midst of Spring Break 2021! This Orca Encounter was unique because the whales had switched the back pools they usually come out of (it's usually Trua and Makaio from the left and Katina, Nalani, and Malia from the right)! This didn't hold them back though and I thought this show was lovely! Highlights below as usual: Pro tip: the 3:30 Orca Encounter usually has the highest attendance and will reach capacity much faster. You want to be there as early as possible or choose a different time! 0:34 - One Song with Makaio and Trua, starting with Makaio's front flip - 1:14 I thought that was a good clip of Makaio's center belly breach - 2:15 Trua slides out! This shows how big he's been getting 5:10 - Husbandry Demonstration and Volunteer Segment with Katina, Nalani, and Malia, starting with their spin swims - 7:30 Malia and Nalani doing the slideout/weight demonstration - 8:45 Katina tongue kisses through the glass -10:32 Nalani gets super high on her back breach! 12:30 The Hunt/Splash Segment with Trua and Makaio -13:20 Both boys splashed very well this time! -14:04 Trua's fluke splash zippers! 17:15 One Big World with Nalani, Katina, and Malia, starting with Nalani's stage slide -18:55 Malia's front flip! She's been opening her mouth on these the past year or so -19:57 Nalani, Malia, and Katina's kicker! (thumbnail) -20:30 They all slideout together! I am damn sure that you must have ever thought that as a whale is so huge, can you get out of its body from its back side. If a Mysticetes whale like a Humpback whale tried to swallow you, it will not be able to pass you through its 15-inch diameter esophagus, and it will throw you out of its mouth. A lot of divers have got out of the mouth of this whale alive. But if a toothed whale like a Sperm whale took you inside itself, it will chew you with its sharp teeth. But even if this whale swallowed you without chewing as its esophagus size is comparatively large, your death will start approaching you from here. First of all, you would fall into the first stomach compartment from the digestive tract of the whale. The stomach muscle will squeeze you and send your body to the main stomach. The digestive juices and hydrochloric acid present here will dissolve your body parts. Now your body will get completely digested in the next two stomachs, and get out of the whale in the next 10-15 hours in the form of waste. Although some people claim their survival after getting into the Tooth whale's stomach, it is not possible logically. MORE INFO / LINKS: Watch without ads or watermarks via Nature Relaxation On-Demand 🤍 🤍 MORE FROM THE CINEMATOGRAPHER PETER ABOUT HUMPBACK WHALES: "Megaptera novaeangliae" is the scientific name of this magnificent creatures. "The Giant Wings of New England“. I think this sounds better and fits them better than the name Humpback Whale. You wonder where this names originated from? The common name humpback whale is derived from the curving of their backs when leaving the surface and diving down into the blue. The Giant Wings of New England refers to their huge flippers which they often stretch out into the sky when resting on the surface. This was first observed and identified around 1750 off the coast of New England. They are the only whale species with such long pectoral fins. This gives them the capability to swim smaller curves and navigate close to the shores in shallow water. Despite the fact, that humans were hunting them almost to their extinction, they are always very friendly towards humans and often even look for interaction. In most countries it is not allowed to swim with them. French Polynesia is one of the few exceptions. Every year the whales leave their feeding grounds in Antarctica to give birth to their offspring in the warm waters around the island of Tahiti. They stay from July till November to raise the new born and relax in the warm tropical waters. It is an unforgettable feeling to be in the water with them. When whale mothers let their young ones explore and play with individuals of a species, which slaughtered them for centuries. Or when a male „singer“ chants right below you and makes your whole body vibrate. In fact it is a life changing experience to be there with them, in their environment, around them when they accept you and almost invite you to dance with them to the music of their own songs." -Peter Schneider, Underwatercam (🤍 MORE AMAZING NATURE RELAXATION FILMS ON YOUTUBE: Flying Over Norway 🤍 🤍 Rainbow Reef Relaxation 2 🤍 🤍 Flying Over Italy 🤍 🤍 Flying Over Oahu 🤍 🤍 Flying Over Scotland 🤍 🤍 Flying Over Kauai 🤍 🤍 Flying Over Indonesia 🤍 🤍 *HEALING CONTENT NOTICE: THIS FILM OFFERS CLINICALLY PROVEN THERAPEUTIC HEALTH BENEFITS FOR BODY & MIND* Watching Nature films has been clinically proven to boost mood and mental focus, while simultaneously treating high anxiety & blood pressure, insomnia, depression, drug addiction, & other health problems - without doctors or pills. Sperm Whales - Titans of the Deep | Free Wildlife Documentary Dedicated scientists, equipped with cutting-edge technology follow the sperm whales as they dive to depths of 1,584 metres. Their efforts are not in vain as amazing new findings are revealed about the lives of these acoustically sensitive creatures. However, these findings pose new questions too. Are the increasing levels of man-made noise, that now pollute the ocean, affecting the whales and forcing them to swim into environments outside their natural habitat, such as the shallow waters of the North Sea? The number of sperm whales that became stranded in the North Sea increased by 1000% in the 1990s. During this very same period the commercial search for oil in these waters, using seismic sonar technologies, also increased. Could there be a connection between the two? Until now, these two incidents have never been investigated. Sperm Whales: Titans of the Deep combines pioneering scientific research with the latest in filmmaking technology to draw you into the mysterious world of the sperm whale and to uncover the problems that it and many other animals face today. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe Free Documentary - Nature Channel for free: 🤍 Facebook: 🤍 Twitter: 🤍 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentaryNature #Documentary #SpermWhale ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bring high-class documentaries to you on youtube for free. In this video, we explore the fascinating topic of shark attacks on humans. Sharks are often portrayed as vicious predators in popular culture, but the truth is much more complex. Through a combination of scientific research and real-life stories, we delve into the reasons why sharks may attack humans and what we can do to minimize the risks. We start by examining the biology and behavior of sharks, looking at how they hunt, communicate, and interact with their environment. We also explore the factors that can lead to shark attacks, including mistaken identity, territorial behavior, and environmental changes. We then look at some real-life examples of shark attacks and the lessons we can learn from them. We hear from experts in the field who explain how we can reduce the risk of shark attacks, including tips for swimming and diving safely in shark-infested waters. Finally, we conclude with a call to action, urging viewers to respect and protect these fascinating creatures, while also recognizing the importance of balancing conservation efforts with public safety. subscribe to us for more 🤍AdarshJhaYt #whale #blue #adarshjha #sharkattacks #sharkbehavior #sharkbiology #sharkconservation #oceansafety #marinebiology #marineconservation #marinelife #swimmingsafety #beachsafety
