Usually when this happens it is because you used the minimum safe timing. If you are using 2 clicks past the threshold, try advancing the timing 3-4 clicks, gauging for safety, then going at it again. If its better but still happens, 2-3 more clicks on the timing wheel, gauge for safety and continue.
